３月１５日ネパールから無事帰国しました。２日後米国のイラクへの戦争が始まりました。戦争で平和が実現するわけがありません。ネパールもこの戦争を教訓に不毛な内戦を止め平和を取り戻してほしいものです。ジェームス神父からも次のようなメッセージが届いています。

WAR - IT IS PURELY a worst evil design to fulfill their selfishness .It is an absolute disregard for human lives, peace, miseries and the height of PRIDE and nonsense. The peace process in Nepal should bring peace as long as our leaders put aside their selfish interests. We pray that it is implemented.

　私達が渡ネの間、政府とマオとの話し合いによる休戦中で、街は平和なムードが漂い満ちていました。戦争のない世界。それがみんなの願いです。4月10日の朝日新聞では大きく「フセイン体制崩壊」と掲載されましたがが、終戦とは程遠い現状です。
