１１月の総選挙は絶望との意見が多数を占めています。
ラリグランスクラブの活動は世情に惑わされる事なく
地道に歩んでいます。

★W.E.P（Woman Education Program 婦人識字教育 ）
バニヤタールの識字教室は、婦人達が仕事を裂いて勉強を続けるのが困難になり休む人が増えてきました。
全体に学ぼうとする意欲が低下してきたうえ、マンジュ先生が身内の人の病気の看病もしなくてはならなくなりしばらく教室閉鎖を余儀なくされました。
スカラシップの子ども達の村の近くの学校で、識字学級を求められている事をモティさんが知りました。
この際思いきってW.E.Pを新しい場所に移してはどうかとモティさんからの提案です。
バニヤタールの識字教室は婦人達に必要なことと思って私達が作ったものですが、今度は村から求められたことであり、その方が活動としては理想な形なので新しい場所でW.E.Pを始める準備をしています。

・９月５〜６日。川勝さん久堀さんとスマナさんの４人で製品のチェックと値札つけなどの作業をします。

ﾈﾊﾟｰﾙのポカラにある三ツ星ﾎﾃﾙです。
オーナーの大森氏を５年ほど前でしたかポカラの会代表の倉光氏より紹介されお安くしてもらって宿泊しました。
日本の都市ホテルと同レベルのﾎﾃﾙで感謝感激アメアラレという古い言い回しが思わず口からほとばしりました。
ヒマラヤを一望出来る大浴場があって本当に疲れが取れました。
大森氏がﾗﾘｸﾞﾗﾝｽクラブを評価してくださりﾎﾃﾙの売店に編物製品を置いてくださいました。
卸値のままの値段で。
卸値はほとんど原価でクラブにも利潤はないのですが１つ売れれば婦人の工賃が出るのでそれで良いのですとお伝えしましたらﾎﾃﾙでも利潤なしでそのまま置いてくださったのです。
大森氏は熱心な仏教徒であらせられ、ﾎﾃﾙ稼業の傍らﾈﾊﾟｰﾙの仏教関係の青年たちとﾈﾊﾟｰﾙの文化向上のために活動され、スカラシップ制度もたちあげたりしてご活躍です。
この度編物製品３２点お買い上げ下さいました。

今ネパール人は選挙後の新しいネパールを期待しているのにかかわらず、様々な問題をかかえています。ストライキ、反対運動、物価の値上がり、政治の不安定な状況といった問題が日常生活に大きな影響を与えています。
今は車のガソリンが不足している問題が大きいです。数ヶ月前も四ヶ月間ガソリンが不足していました。車を持っている人特に仕事で運転している運転手達はガソリンスタンドの前でガソリンを得るために一日中ずっと待ったり、一晩中待ったりしなければなりません。
今のガソリン不足の問題が起きている理由はインド政府が石油供給を６０パーセントにカットしたからといわれています。それはネパール石油
協同組合（Nepal Oil Cooperation）がインド政府に石油のお金を払っていないからです。
ガソリンが不足している結果カトマンズでは駐車所で止めていたバイクからガソリンを盗んだりする事件が発生しています。
例えば、数日間前に私の親戚が自分の会社の駐車場でバイクを止めていたところ家に帰るときにバイクのガソリンパイプが切られガソリンが盗まれていました。彼はそのバイクをガレージにおいたままタクシーで帰ったそうです。
このような事件が最近あっちこっちで起こっています。
運転の仕事をして生活している人たちを初め沢山の人々に石油不足が大きな影響を与えているということは言うまでもありません。
カトマンズの人たちは今ゴミの問題を大きく抱えています。カトマンズ市役所（Kathmandu city office）とプライベート契約人（private contractor）の間に争いが生じています。
その結果プライベート契約人がゴミの回収を止めています。今街は家庭ゴミにあふれ環境汚染の問題を引き起こしています。
今はネパールに住んでいる人たちだけではなくネパールへ来たり、外国へ行ったりする人たちも問題を抱えています。ネパール航空ボーイング７５７がカトマンズから大阪や他の国に行くのに使われていましたが今はその便が機械の問題が生じた結果止まっています。ですから今そのネパール・エアライン（以前ロイヤル・ネパールエアライン）からの海外フライトがキャンセルされ乗客に影響を与えています。
このように様々な問題を抱えているので11月に予定されている選挙に国民は大きな期待を寄せています。政治家達はそれに向けて準備を始めていますが100パーセント確実なことではありません。
マオイストが今月18日からストライキプログラムを明言していますのでこれからの状況がどうなるのかが確信できません。このストライキが選挙に影響与えることも考えられます。

た去年から生じていたタライでの問題が今解決し始めています。それはネパール政府側とマデシ・ジャナディカール・フォルム（MJF)の間に22件の同意が行われていました。しかしこの同意がマオイストに対する陰謀であるとマオイストのリーダーであるプラチャンドが言っています。今MJFが自分のストライキ計画をキャンセルした結果国民はちょっとホットしたところでした。
今月二日にカトマンズの町の三箇所で同時爆発があり、他の２箇所でも爆発がありました。その結果２人が死亡し１５人超える人が負傷しました。この事件に関しては２時間後にタライ・軍事と言われる新しいグルプが犯行声明しましたが真相は分かりません。
今ネパールの天気は雨季の終わりで気候の変わり目です。急に寒くなったり急に暑くなったりしています。最高気温は２８〜３０度、最低気温は１８〜２０度です。
天気のようにネパールの治安もよくなったり悪くなったりしています。その結果国民達は不安な生活をしています。ですから選挙があって国の治安が安定しないかぎり去年のデモが国民にとって満足なものであったとは言えません。
| A glance of recent Nepal [Moti Ghimire, Kathmandu] Despite of the fact that, Nepalese are expecting of New Nepal after the election of Constutional Assembly they are compelled to face several problems. Nepalese with a dream of new Nepal are now hooked up with difficulties like Strike, Protests, increasing price level and unstable political situation. Among many such problems Nepalese are coping with, lack of fuel is also one of the prime problem these days. The fuel crisis which was some 4 months ago is now again in an alarming state. People are now compelled to stay in a long queue for Petrol for whole night, as they used to some months ago. Because of the due amount not paid by Nepal Oil Corporation to Indian Government, India has cut off 60% petroleum supply to Nepal. So it has created fuel crisis and people have to stay in queue for many hours. Taxis moving around all the day have to stay in line for the whole night and earn for their daily livelihood. Along with this, some thing interesting is happening. Petrol stealing from bikes left for parking is increasing these days. For instant some days ago one of my relative was in problem when he found his fuel pipe of his bike was cut off and was emptied when parked in his office premises, so he had to leave it in the guarage and take a taxi to return home. The other problem・ Nepalese, especially residents of Kathmandu are facing is the garbage problem. Due to some conflict between Kathmandu city office and the Private Contractor, who were disposing the local garbage have now stopped doing it regularly. So the city has been polluted a lot, we can see house wastages in street side remaining unsettled. Not only in nepal, but those who are coming in and going out of Nepal are facing problems as well. Nepal goverments Boieng 757 attending international flights from Tribhuvan international airport, KTM Б OSAKA and other country・is grounded due to Technical Problems because of old Plane so the Internationl flights RA have been cancelled from about one month. As stated by the air passengers the pressure of air Passenger is maximum these days and the problem of air ticket is also increased than in normal condition. Among all these disappointing facts, there are some hopeful things upcoming. The constitutional Assembly election to be held during May-June was postponded then and was re-dated to November 22nd. Till some period ago there was some doubt in the election to be held in November, due to political distractions. But now since some political parties are participating in the pre-election preparation, so the hope of people in the election now have some how being raised. But we cant still be 100% sure about it. The Maoists have decleared programs of strike and protests since 18th September, so what will the situation be after that is unsure. So this makes people still unsure about the successful completion of Constutional Assembly. Another positive news is the 22 points agreement between Nepalese government and Madhesi JanadAdhikar forum (MJF) has been held recently. MJF had been standing with programs of protest and strikes against the government since last year. But still the maoist leader kamred Prachanda has stated the agreement with forum as a conspiracy against them. Whatever be the fact, after MJF has cancelled their programs of strike. Nepalese citizen were relieved . However, on September 2nd, there was a bomb blast in three busy places of Kathmandu at the same time and the blast was found in other two places as well. During the blast 2 people died and more than 15people were injured. After 2 hours of the incident, a group called as Terai Army has taken responsibilty of the blast but sure is yet to be done. The weather of Nepal isfluctuating. Normally, it rains once a day. Neither it is too cold nor hot. The maximum temperature reaches 28-30% and minimum 18-20%. Likewise the situation of Nepal is sometimes disappointing and sometimes hopeful. As a whole, today's Nepal's situation even after the mass revolution is still not so satisfactory till the political settlement is done in real meaning. |
通信３１号でもお知らせしましたが、元留学生のスマナ・シュレスﾀさんが山梨大学の研究員サンガム・シュレスﾀさんと結婚され、甲府で新婚生活を始めておられます。
これまでも何回かHPに記事を書いていただきましたが、これから毎回[スマナのコラム]に楽しい話題を提供していただく事になりました。
結婚生活の始まり
結婚してもう４ヵ月立ちました。たった４ヵ月なのに実に多くの変動があり、今私は人生の中で一番重要な時期を迎えていると思います。
中でも家族環境の中で自分の立場が変わったことが大きいです。結婚前は誰かの娘であり、兄弟姉妹でした。結婚後は妻であり、嫁であり、義理の姉です。自分の生まれた家から夫の家に来て家族関係が広がり、これが今までの自分の立場を変え、嫁としての家族に対する責任感を持たされたということは言うまでもありません。
お互いが初めて体験する結婚生活の中で、お互いに理解しあい、これからの人生を頑張って歩みたいと思うのは当たり前のことでしょうが、そんなに簡単なことでもないように思います。
「結婚後女性の人生が終わり、男性の人生が始まる」ということわざをネパールで聞いたことがあります。でも実際に体験してみるとそうではありません。結婚したら新しい女性の人生が始まるのではないかと思います。それまでの人生が無駄になることはないです。結婚生活が始まったばかりなので今後のことはわからないですが、二人で新しい世界を創造することが出来ます。家族を守り家族のために生きていく女性が本当にすばらしいのだと思います。
結婚というものが私の立場を変えても私を変えてはいません。
これからの人生も精一杯生きて、自分の家族を大事にし世の中の人々のためにも頑張っていきたいと思います。

| Married life and its Experiences It has been four months since I got married. Although it's only months, there have been many changes in my life and I think this is the most important change in my life. Among the changes, the biggest one is the change of my status inside the family environment. Before marriage, I was a daughter and sister, but after marriage, I have become a wife, daughter in law and sister in law. Needless to say, it has broadened my family relationship and has increased my responsibilities. I think every married couple think about living together the remaining part of their life helping each other. Although it is a natural thinking, I think it is really difficult to do in practice. In Nepal, I had heard one saying "After marriage, woman's life comes to an end and man's life begins.." But after experiencing marriage, I think this saying is not true. In fact, after marriage, woman's new life begins. But it does not mean that the life she had before becomes useless. Since, my married life has just started, now, I can not say or predict the situation of the life after 10 years, but I can imagine the situation and can say that women are really great who sacrifice and live the rest of the life for their family. Marriage has changed my status but not me. We will do my best to live a fruitful life taking care of our family and work for others as well so that we can contribute to the society to make it much better. Sumana Shrestha |

３４号からは「スマナのコラム」も始まりホームページがますます華やかになりとても嬉しく思っています。
私達日本人グループも秋のバザーに向かって頑張っています。
